The Importance of Diet
An important component of the Lyme Laser Protocol is the advice and support we give you in relation to the food and dietary regime which supports your journey to wellness.
When we begin our journey together, the first dietary message we give you is ‘Think Sugar’!
Sugar restriction is crucial in the battle against Lyme, but not because ‘it’s not good for you’ or ‘bugs feed on it’ but because by limiting your sugar intake you can start to deteriorate the ‘biofilm’.
What are Biofilms?
Biofilms are a protective mechanism that the Lyme Spirochete produces after entering your body. These biofilms act as a “Concrete Bunker” in which the bacteria can hide within and since antibiotics are designed to break down proteins and not saccharides (sugar) the Lyme becomes difficult to eliminate.
How do we break down the biofilm?
The Lyme Laser Protocol, a sophisticated blend of proprietary systems, is designed to deteriorate these biofilms. Once the biofilms are eliminated the Lyme bacteria have no more protection and become much more vulnerable.
How much sugar is too much?
We recommend that you limit the amount of sugar to two grams* within a six-hour period. We’ve developed this calculation through years of research and by working with Lyme biofilms specifically.
Can I ever have sugar again?
Yes, of course. Our Protocol is designed to fit into your lifestyle, and we know how difficult it is to entirely eliminate sugar on an ongoing basis. For the first twelve weeks of the Protocol, we focus on deteriorating biofilms so eating limited sugars is just for that amount of time.
How do I reduce my sugar intake?
To make it easier we’ve produced over three hundred tasty recipes to try which help you with what you should and shouldn’t consume. There are also different types of sugars, so as part of our comprehensive kick off sessions we’ll chat through what sugars are acceptable and which will work against you getting well again.
Taking control of your diet is a great way in which you can fight back against the chronic symptoms of Lyme disease. Make 2025 the year to beat this thing – Thrive in 2025 and let us help you do it.
